These go beyond just checking for compliance. You get a full review, from the perspective of parents and inspectors. Most websites we check do not meet statutory requirements. Make sure yours does! These are carried out remotely so do not require an on-site visit.
Probably the most popular service at the moment. Hour long discussions where I interview subject leaders about their roles and the curriculum in their particular subject. Stepping in and out of role, we discuss the answers and we suggest ways forward. We have developed a series of lines of enquiry for each individual subject, consulting with subject specialists nationally and having read a lot of published materials about each subject.
Again, a popular option. We can review two subjects in a day. Typically this involves discussion with the subject leader, visits to lessons, discussions with pupils. Leaders are welcome to take part or just observe so it supports their role too. Every subject is unique so the approach varies depending on what subject is being reviewed.
These are most definitely not Mocksteds. We don't see the value in those. These are developmental reviews where feedback and advice is a constant feature. The stepping in and out of role approach is taken in developmental reviews too, but we also review areas such as safeguarding, SEND, personal development and behaviour and attitudes. Generally, we undertake these full reviews in a small team of 2-4 reviewers.
This involves a regular (usually once a term) visit to each school in the trust as a 'disinterested independent third party'. Some trusts combine this with an annual full development review. We can provide this for primary, secondary, special and alternative providers.
These are becoming increasingly popular with some Ofsted reports commenting on pupils' knowledge of PSHEE elements. In PD reviews, I will typically review the PSHEE curriculum, discuss the curriculum with those responsible for it and with single sex pupils.
The 2025 Ofsted framework has a HUGE emphasis on inclusion. We can guide you through this. I have a lot of experience reviewing SEND provision in special schools, resourced provision, pupil referral units and alternative education. Get in touch if you need a day's review of SEND.
Most of the safeguarding reviews we do are on an annual basis for multi academy trusts or individual schools. Sometimes they are stand alone safeguarding reviews following as serious incident or following an ofsted judgement. Every audit/review includes a checklist type audit but also includes a comprehensive report on suggested improvements and positive aspects of safeguarding.
I have much experience of reviewing schools under the independent school standards, whether your inspectorate is ISI or Ofsted. These reviews usually take two days to complete with a full report following shortly after. Longer term, I offer support to schools which have received an inadequate or requires improvement judgement from ISI or Ofsted.
